Document Tracking System














The FirstBase Document Tracking System is used to track simple documents or other forms of resources. Each of these systems comes with complete menus, data entry screens, query screens, and report templates. No additional software is needed.

When a new document or resource is entered, the following fields are captured using the standard database editors provided by FirstBase:

  • Document ID
  • Title
  • Journal
  • Document Type
  • Location
  • Author
  • Abstract
  • Keyword

In addition to capturing information about resources, the FirstBase document tracking systems are also used to track individuals and companies that have requested and/or received specific objects (documents, tapes, reports, etc).

Various pre-defined reports can be generated from the resource data, showing the data grouped by resource type, keyword, recipient, or any other information.
