coname - the company name file

SYNOPSIS

.coname

DESCRIPTION

All FirstBase screens have an area in the middle of the header on the top row that is used to display a company name or application title. The contents of this area is controlled by the company name file, .coname.

All FirstBase tools will search for a company name file, and print the contents of this file if it is found. The first place searched is the current directory. Next, the users PATH is searched, and finally the FirstBase home area ($FIRSTBASEHOME).

If you want to have a single company name title for the entire system of applications, create the .coname file in the FirstBase home directory and store the desired title there. Selective control is also available by storing a title in some other .coname file that is found before the FirstBase home directory is searched.
