Dbmacro

Dbmacro is a powerful general purpose processing tool, complete with familiar programming constructs, definable functions, printf mechanisms, associative arrays, run time loadable code, strings, and lots of built in functions for stream input/output and CGI/HTML processing. (See macro(5) for a complete description of the language).

Dbmacro even handles multipart encoded CGI transmissions from forms using the multipart/form-data HTML specification.

Dbmacro is part of the FirstBase RDBMS and can be downloaded free.

Here are some simple examples of how to use dbmacro:

• generate_form.m -- generates this form, which executes process_form.m to process the CGI request (when the SUBMIT button is selected -- try it). Context sensitive HTML forms are easy to generate and the resulting CGI requests are easily processed.

• form.m -- a simple demonstration of CGI variable handling via standard HTML input mechanisms.
